How an engagement works

A consultation engagement, from first inquiry to ongoing review — the process we follow with every small-business owner we work with.

The engagement process

Every engagement follows the same four-step process. It is deliberately small, because the point is to get to a working budget, not to spend weeks on setup.

1. Inquiry

You send an inquiry through the contact form or by email. We reply, usually within two business days, with a short note to find a time for the initial consultation. There is no charge for this first exchange.

2. Initial consultation

A one-to-one session, online or in person near Gangnam, where we look at the current financial picture of the business and what you want the budget to do for you. After this session you receive a written proposal with scope, fees, and the proposed review cadence. You decide whether to proceed.

3. Build

If you proceed, we build the operating budget and cash-flow view from your actual books. The output is a working document you can read and update, with the assumptions written down so nothing is hidden.

4. Ongoing review

We revisit the budget on the cadence we agreed — monthly, quarterly, or around specific events. Each review adjusts the plan against what actually happened, so the budget stays useful rather than decorative.

Where sessions happen

Initial consultations are held online or in person around Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Ongoing review sessions are typically held online, with an in-person session when it materially helps.

What you need to start

For the initial consultation, nothing — just a sense of what you want the budget to help you decide. If you proceed to the build step, we will tell you exactly which records to bring, usually recent bank and sales statements and any existing budget you have.

Begin with an inquiry

Send an inquiry and we will find a time for the initial consultation.
